Sue just didn't understand her or women in general. She relaxed behind the wheel of her tahoe. She loved driving her Chevy. It helped her get her mind off of her troubles.

The trouble for Sweet Pea, was she had had a strange vision earlier when she held the strange tablet. She envisioned Sue, with his big chief grin stretched across his face as he leaned back, his hog roaring along, eating up bits of highway. She gripped the wheel of her tricked out Tahoe, glancing at the backpack with those strange, curious items on the seat next to her.
She felt pulled ...

with a sense of dread. She had a feeling something bad was going to happen, but she wasn't sure to whom or when.
She pulled into the RoadKill Cafe. A large sign on the front said, "You kill 'em, we grill 'em".
Hmm, maybe she'd just get a coffee. She saw Angus's vehicle, and, no it couldn't be. Was that Sue's bike? She glanced again at the things on her passenger seat. Taking a deep breath she went into the restaurant.

The restaurant was filled with mostly bikers and truck drivers. She instantly felt awkward, as if all eyes were on her. She glanced around for Angus and Sue and spotted the two of them in a corner booth deep in conversation with each other. They didn't notice her. So she....

...gave a laugh at herself for being silly and boldly sashayed down toward the back where the old beaten floor and her finely tooled cowboy boots made a steady click-clomp, click-clomp and then silence. She stood at the end of the booth, hands on her hips with the cowboy hat shading her eyes in that non-chalant but fetching way she had about herself.
Sweet Pea, next, sported a sardonic smile and declared, "Well, it's about time you slackers! I figured if the mountain wasn't coming to Momma, well then Momma would come to the mountain!" She took her hat off, slowly lowered it to the table and looked Angus and Sue straight in the eyes one at a time, and trilled,
"You boys are in for a surprise! Hope there are a few brain cells left between the two of ya' because you're a gonna need 'em, after you get a good gander at what I got!"
Angus took about two seconds before he stood up and grabbing Sweet Pea by the waist, began a great bear hug that nearly left Sweet Pea unconscious. Sue didn't get up, but managed a grunt in greeting. He squirmed slightly trying to register the sudden flood of conflicting feelings he got whenever "she" was around.
Angus, then slid down the booth to give Sweet Pea a seat and signaled for the waitress to bring an iced tea over for her. He then, looked at Sue and Sweet Pea and said, "Thanks for being here for me, both of you. I am not sure where this mystery will lead us to, but I need to try to find answers, for Cassie."
Sweet Pea then, reached over with a hand, displaying her long delicate fingers and laid it on top of Angus's in a comforting gesture. Angus acknowledged the gesture with a pat of his other hand on top of hers. She sighed, and said, "Drink up boys, because I got something to show you, but here ain't the place".
So it was a bit of a surprise when Sue who had been mute up to now, spoke up in a gravely voice and said, " I know a place ....

...You would be confounded at seeing the alien form emerge from the impossible, shifting, darkened portal. Flabbergasted maybe, because you would think you'd actually seen this form of life before, in strange claims and crude drawings. In the ramblings and paintings of people who yes, claimed to be abducted by aliens.
I can see you shaking your head right now, writing me off as just another quack with a far-fetched story, aching for attention. And really, if I were you, I'd probably be doing the same thing. That doesn't change anything though. All I can do is tell you what was told to me by some pretty powerful people from some real high up places. It's all top secret, super-duper top secret, with a cherry on top kind of secret. I can't tell you how I know any of this, just can only tell you the story, what I know, and you'll just have to figure out what parts you believe. I believe it all, but that's just me.
So, now that you understand that, you need to know that in this meeting of aliens, there is a disagreement, and it is very heated. Not all the aliens seem to get along with each other. It doesn't seem like this is anything new, either.
And that there is also a little girl alien, who really, I want to give her a name because I don't know her real name but am sure she must have one. I'm thinking maybe any one of you might have an idea of what we could call her...

....highway leading the way for Sweet Pea to follow. Soon they came to a crossroads and turned left, and another left that became a narrow dirt road. It was about a mile and a bit more before they saw a simple but spacious log cabin, snuggly surrounded by tall pines on the banks of a large, deep blue lake. There was a simple dock leading straight into the water, a sailboat and a rowboat tied to its protruding posts.
Sweet Pea listened to the crunch of gravel as she slowly made her way down the dirt track after Angus and Sue. Now she could shake off her surprise, unobserved. She was surprised how hard it was to pretend Sue had no affect on her. She told herself to keep her mind on track, she'd need a clear head. She didn't have any more time to think about her reaction because Angus and Sue had stopped. She pulled in along side the two motorcycles and cut her engine. In her rearview mirror, she saw a sprightly looking matron in a calico apron waving a spoon at Sue, a delight in her eyes registering as she recognized her imposing guests. Not two steps behind Gigi, was a boy about 11 or 12 years old, by the looks of it.
By the time Sweet Pea got out of the truck, Sue and Angus were already being told they better be hungry for dinner. Gigi looked at her and said, "You too! Purty lady! There's enough for everybody and then some!" Gigi had a great laugh, it was hard not to get in a good mood hearing that laugh.
Gigi, put her arm around the shoulder of the boy and next said, "Everybody this is Simon, He's been staying with me since May. Since his mother got herself put in jail. She'll be gone for a spell yet, I imagine. No matter, Simon here is a great help to me." She gave him a warm smile that reached her eyes. Then said to Simon, "Now be a good boy and show everybody where they'll be staying the night. They can stay in the bunk house for as long as they want to. This is so nice we have visitors, isn't it Simon?"
Simon, said a simple, "Hi y'all. Nice to meet ya. Come. I'll show you around." And off he went in a kind of hopping, run-walk that clearly spoke of anticipation.
They followed ....

...we should call her something besides A.G., (instead of Alien Girl). Ok then, it has come to me, since no one is helping, Agnes is what I"ll call her. Now, Agnes, believe it or not, is an alien girl who doesn't always do what she's told. And she is playing alone, and she is often lonely because there are not too many young aliens being born these days, something she's sure she's heard her elders discuss over and over, many past years, end on end, as long as she can remember, really.
Agnes is sitting on her circular bed nestled into its comfort and she's holding what looks pretty much identical to what Sweet Pea has been carrying around with her these past days. I am only guessing but she seems to be waiting for something....

Angus sat on the single bunk closest to the door on the right side of the simple rectangular Bunk House. In the other corner was another single bed, and Sue's boots were tucked underneath it. Sue was already in the lake with Simon, he could hear the young boy's squeal of laughter and then what sounded like a giant cannonball splash.
There was a clever collection of wires and curtains that were mismatched, but one could open and close them to create little pockets of privacy. Sweet Pea took the only full sized bed in the immediate left corner, opposite of Angus. The last corner spot was home to a bunk bed, and it was obvious Simon had made a small home for himself on the top bunk. He said he sometimes sleeps in the bunk just for fun. He has put some psychedelic posters up around the space by "his" bed. A small black light is clamped to the simple wooden railing.
The sound of the outdoor shower attached to the side of the Bunk House was running, Sweet Pea was busy inside it washing the dust and grime from her silken skin.
Angus was turning the strange puzzle looking object in his hands over and over. He really didn't know what to make of it, still, a full hour after Sweet Pea had shown him what the dogs had brought her. The fabulous iPad knock off was sitting on his bed next to him, too. It pulsed, still, steady, a gentle electronic breath, or rather what Angus thought, more like an electronic coma.
He heard Gigi ringing a real dinner bell, and knew the smells of skillet corn bread and fried trout would be a reality, soon enough. He absently switched on the blacklight over Simon's bunk, as the sun was beginning it's slow descent, stealing its light along with it.
He stood to go out but not before deciding to replace the bizarre items back in the backpack. As the blacklight shed its light and bathed the tablet, a peculiar thing began to happen with the pulsing, glowing rectange, it ....
