My computer man taught me how to say NO to updates and all the crap , and the antivirus GSD ADMIN listed are the ones to go with,
I put my computer in the closet and am on my fiancee's Dell laptop and his desktops

I'd say the cheaper the better, and disposable.
Kinda like todays cars.
The best computer is one the can be easily fixed and updated as everything becomes outdated so quickly.
Virus programs are a fraud and the operating system has the best anti-virus data as it is their product.

I don't know if they are as much fraud as much as I view them as extortion. My A/V does seem to intercept some things, though I am convinced that the authors of these trojans, worms, bots, etc, are covertly funded by McAfee, Norton, Kaspersky, AVG, etc.
