Our friend COL Maxwell has a piece at Small Wars Journal on the subject of why the Special Forces train for unconventional warfare (UW). It's easy to understand the sensitivity of the question by reading the definition of UW:
"Activities conducted to enable a resistance movement or insurgency to coerce, disrupt or overthrow a government or occupying power by operating through or with an underground, auxiliary and guerrilla force in a denied area."Why would we train for such a thing? The short answer: if you can carry out UW missions, you can do all the others. Read why.

I have heard it said that if the system failed man would deplete his resources within a few months,
this I do not believe.
If the system fails the money will be worth more as paper than currency, a substitute for what, a mans labor?
Would you trade crops you grew for paper, is paper equal to labor, no.
Anyway I'm still feeling thankful so I'd rather hold that thought a bit longer even though it be an illusion.

it looks like a misspelled racial slur...is there a Niger Delta? I will google it.

Your enemy can also be a resource.
Adapt, improvise.
It's easier to be seen at a distance than right under someone's nose.
If they want the Ohio river valley they can have it, I won't be there.
If you wake them up, they will only whine louder.
Ya never know, maybe things will work out after all.
