Yeah, d-u-u-u-d-e, try that with a rhino that hasn't been habituated to humans and see how far you get. I'm guessing it would toss you several feet in the air before you could get close enough to jump on its back.
Was pretty cool to see how tolerant the rhino was of that foolery, though. They're quite engaging beasts.
