2 pups from my last litter died in the first year of life. Fn is suspected. Have you heard about it ? Any comment would be appreciated.

Familial juvenile hyperuricemic nephropathy is a rare, inherited disease of the kidneys, often characterized by early onset (teenage years), gout in both males and females, kidney failure, reduced concentrations of uric acid in the urine (hypouricuria) and increased concentrations of uric acid in the blood (hyperuricenmia). How do you know or why do you suspect FN was the culprit? Stephen

Thanks for the answer.I'm not sure that it is Fn. 3puppies must be enthanasied af 4 weeks old. Recently a pup died at 7months old because of nephropathy(hyperuricenmia,...) Now another pup should be euthanasied for the same reasons. So ,i suspect Fn. Maybe is it a bacterium ? Or leptospirose or something like that? Do you now if a DNA test exists to detect FN ?
