Anyone have other tips that can be shared publicly?

In order to master tracking, one must first fully understand scent theory. The Book......"Tracking: From the beginning", by Gary Patterson helped me in the beginning and I still refer back to it on occasion.
You could also, ask your training director to dedicate a day at the club on tracking. If your not a member of a club....seek one out. They are going to be your strongest resource for information and support.
Tracking seminars are really good sources for learning different techniques.

Why bother posting on a public forum if all the reponses are going to be PM's?
Anyone have other tips that can be shared publicly?
Otherwise Mods should close the thread

The only reason I made it a pm is because I referred him to a friend that teaches tracking. I'm not sure she would like her info given out to many people, so I kept it private. I personally do not know a thing about schutzhund tracking, so that's why. I have no knowledge to share, unless it's about Nosework, sorry.
