OK so the mother of my girl is not in the database, but her dad is, so does that mean I cant add her to the database ever.. I looked and I dont think her my gsd grandparents are in there either.

The database is filled with European pedigrees. If the dog has 4-6 generations of domestic breeding you have to go all the way back to the import lines and start there. Most dogs bred in the US in show or family breeding homes are not going to have current pedigrees or connections in here.

When you do ad the previous generations PLEASE double check your information prior to submitting. If you read some of the threads here that can be a problem and cause issues to others looking for pedigree information. Thanks!

you just have to add the mother first - and if she won't add, then you have to add the mother's sire and dam first - then work your way back up the generations to your dog, when her sire/dam are in the database, then you can add your dog successfully. Good luck! molly

So, does that mean we can't register our dogs?

If your dogs parents isn't on the database... you must add the parents first before adding your dogs to the database.
