Here's a link to the CNN story on Greenies, blamed for the death of at least 13 dogs
I stopped feeding them to my dogs a few years ago after my female vomitted up the treat in large chunks. The treats are so soft, you can't control how your dogs eat them. I glad she puked it up!

You're absolutely right...my wife who shows Yorkies and Papillons used to give the Greenies to her dogs for their breath and now most of the Toy Dog Clubs warn of the dangers of these chews...We haven't had any problems but they're cases around that people have lost their dogs due to this type chew...

I worked for a boarding kennel last year, we had a dog that came regularly, on one visit the poor dog pooped out an entire small sized greenie....and they said these things are edible??? I've never fed greenies to my dogs (too expensive) and now I especially never will.

Wouldn't surprise to hear that Greenies has an underground labs where they feed their disgusting none edible to their poor souls lab dogs. I'm sure many more had died, not just the 13 dogs thats listed on the site. Just like what Ims does with their poor dogs at the labs :(
