Can anyone be kind enough to give me feed back on their experiences with either Propac, Science Diet and Proplan dog foods. I am planning to use one of these foods for our shepherds.

You need to be put down, and in a hurry. How can you be so twisted and insensitive to even think about using a name like that? I will do everything in my power to forward this to the proper authorities and organizations such as the Anti Deformation League. You WILL be found!

I have two 6 month old females and I first started with nutro max puppy formula as soon they arrived in USA from Germany, because some of my other frieds have good results but I tried that for about two months and still my dogs were not stabilized, they were unable to digest properly and still had loose stools and most importantly not gaining weight. The vet did treated them for giardia and dewormed twice and still not good results. Finally he said to try other food. One of my other friend had been using Proplan ( sensitive stomach and skin ) formula for adults, because you can't find sensitive stomach and skin formula for puppy. My friend has two other adult dogs she said have used the same formula. Since almost one month I had my dogs on this formula and found better results. I am just trying to tell that Nutro Max did'nt worked out well for my dogs.

Proplan is ok, but there are better ones out there. The Barf diet is not always suitable for everyone, so don't feel pressured to use it, my GSD Kasey was on it and she was having some itchy troubles so we are giving her IVD Neutral Diet with Duck, hoping it helps. You will find many different foods out there, try one and see how it works, everyone gets different results. I do NOT recommend Science Diet or Iams at all. Kari

Hunter, What are you talking about? what insensitivity do you refer to? I am not trying to offend anyone or be insensitive please explain.

Hi Zico, My post was not directed towards you. Some ass hole signed on using the name Jew Killer, it has since been deleted from the board. My post was directed towards that moron.

Zico, I would suggest to buy nutro Max. My dog had severe case of Lymph glade problems... seems that Proplan and Eukanuba , including the rotton food pedigree made it WORSE.... ever since i place him on Nutro max his glade problem vanished... well not completly.... I just checked his neck and I could give it another couple of weeks before it goes away completely! Im so happy with this dog food... when I take the time Im going to write them a letter thanking them for making my dog healthier :)

Zico, I used ProPlan until I was able to obtain Royal Canin. I always have puppies, growing dogs and adults, so I the large breed puppy formula and mix it with the Royal Canin German Shepherd Formula 24. Great mix for all dogs. The German Sherpherd Formula tightes the stool of the puppies. I find using the puppy feed alone produces loose to very loose stools. The coats are glossy and the stools are firm, making cleaning the kennel easier. Just my opinion.

My pup arrived on royal canin but was not gaining weight and devoloped yeast infections I switched her diet and she bounded into glorious health and condition. different dogs have different needs I think it is an individual match and none can say this is better than that in any diet. there have been health issues with any food with stool reducers though I try to stay away from those would you like to eat a diet that makes you feel like you are letting loose a sidewalk chalk the poor dogs on that stuff have such distresseful expressions when they have to go! it just seems the lack of moisture is more harmful than my having to clean it up.
