Does anyone know WHY people utilizing the Newest Ads section to promot their dogs use more than one space. There is an ad there now, "Top puppies TIERKERHOOK...." that has run their add 3 times, reducing exposure to 2 other entries. Is that done because some ads are more important than others?

by LuvCzechDawgz on 28 May 2005 - 02:05

Most times it's ignorance and stupidy. Rare instances accidental. Some will post the ad several times in attempts to make sure people are going to see it under the "Newest Ads" column. Some click the submit bottom more than once by accident which causes muliple ads. Few times this is accidental. But once (or if) the board starts charging for ads, watch those multiple ads vanish. LOL

I would like to think it was nothing more then a mistake? I would hate to think people would lower themselves to the point of putting up multiple ads just to bump someone else off the board....But then again stranger things have happened on this board.

This really irritates me. I don't even read the ads if they are overexposed. As frequently as this happens, I don't think it could be a mistake. There are also these people who put the same ads in day after day.

So I am not alone....thanks Guys. Did you offenders get the message? One's enough, thank you very much.

For sure you are not alone,I have to say, after checking out the above mentioned site, and keep in mind my spelling/typing leaves little to be desired,I have to say something I noticed on the site that I see time and time again and everytime I see it my freakin about blows up into a million tiny little peices shepherd is spelled shepherd, not shepard, someone who is into this for even a short amount of time has got to be able to get the name spelled right, maybe an over sight? It has now been brought to your attention,PLEASE fix it.........GERMAN SHEPHERD. herd,as in herding sheep.not shepard.......as in I don't even know, shepards pie? Please..........

JMO but I think what is happening is that if their computer is slow running, they are under the impression that the ad did not take so then they send again.

by Hudson on 29 May 2005 - 20:05

I don't think so Dawn. Surely these people read their ads and if it pops up 3 or 4 times they should be able to figure it out or get some one to help them. I think they are just juvenile and want to make darn sure they are seen all over the world. There is one today Busso Kahler Heide, Hoss Larehenhain. An ad that I am sure were identical, but I sure didn't read them.
