Hello, I believe I read that you are a judge in the UK? May I ask if the GSD shows there are as here in the US; either the SV style or a style that would be similar to AKC shows in the US? Would you judge at a show like Crufts or are you licensed for SV style shows? I've noticed that many of the breeds exhibited at Crufts look a great deal different from those shown here in AKC shows. I'm confused LOL. Thanks.

Blitzen, Please clarify for me...I thought you did not own GSD's but Malamutes or some other artic breed? I could be confusing you with someone else, if so please forgive me. I was just curious that's all;-) Birdy...

I have both, Birdy, and am thinking about one more GSD and am doing my homework as suggested by many. My Malamutes are older now and I find I prefer GSD's for a number of reasons.

Oh but I love Malamutes. When growing up in Montana, I lived near a musher/dog sledder and his dogs were Malamute and he also had Malamute and Siberian crosses. He said he liked the stamina of the cross. Thanks for answering my question. Have a Great Weekend Too! Birdy...

Malamutes are very strong, tough dogs, Birdy, too much dog for me anymore LOL. Not as needy as GSD's, but a lot more work in all other ways. Both my GSD's have/had a lot of sense and the will to please, they don't yank me around like a rag doll, Blitz doesn't try to kill other dogs, and I can use those wonderful mesh crates. None of that is possible with most male Malamutes although they do have their good points. Gimme a good ole GSD any day of the week. You enjoy your weekend too. Thanks.

Hello Sue B, Unless you want the whole bunch of treacherous parasitic morons tearing into you, I strongly suggest you avoid this topic like the plaque! Blitzen: Haven’t you earned that new pup from SHE yet? Haven’t you and friends enough aliases to run this forum on your own without calling on others?

Thanks Kruger, your advise is wise indeed. LOL Blitzen, that's a loaded gun question if ever I heard one. Tell you what, why not check out my website and decide for yourself! ;-) Regards Sue B

Sorry to have bothered you, Sue B, it won't happen again. I don't know your website URL.

That's OK Blitzen, no need to apologise. You wouldn't know my website because you don't live in the UK and I don't need this board to advertise my dogs or my pups. Regards Sue B
