Absolutely gorgeous! Makes me reaaally miss my riding days! My instructor had 3 years in the Spanish Riding School in Vienna, and he could do this level of dressage with his horse. It was pure joy to watch...

When I was a little girl, I had a 1/2 thoroughbred,1/2 appaloosa that I taught to do rudimentary dressage; the collected trot, extended trot, changing leads at the canter, etc. I wanted to be a jockey until I hit 5'11"......sigh! I traded my love of horses for a GSD...and was instantly smitten!(wonder if I could teach my puppies to do that....LOL!)Thanks for the link, everyone at my work was leaning over my moniter going "Ooooooh! Aaaaaaaah!"jo

During 2005 I had the opportunity to watch the Royal Lippizaner stallions during a perfomance, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I am not a horse person, but I think that even a novice can recognize the degree of training and development that went into these animals, as well as specific breeding for these purposes. My only previous experinces with horses was with the farm horse that I rode in my youth, and the walking horse that is a mainstay of the State of Tennessee. I watched these animals a few times at the main celebration event, and while beautiful, their "walking" performance does not compare to that of the dressage. Nice video. Bob-O

That was great, thanks. My sister does the three-day event stuff, talk about athletes. The western vesion of dressage is the reining class, something I used to do. What a thrill. :)
