Vito says:  To be more honest, you jumped into this later than the one who made the original statement, who disappeared shortly after the statement.

Vito - If you are talking about me, the OP, then I have to say I am busy and have not had time to keep up-to-the-minute with this thread even though I peek in now and then.    But I have participated in several pages and answered at least one question posed by Valk (hope it was answered to V's satisfaction).  I can be seen posting on page 1 (multiple times), 2, 3 (again mult. times), 4 (mult. X), 7 (mult. X), 10.....you get the idea, I hope.

Black Malinois says:  LE IS NOT ONLY BITEWORK over 80 percent LE  today is tracking and detection nobody on this forum care about this only discussion about bitework,,,, many sportdogs will also fail in LE tracking and detection, example worse drives and and worse nerves can be BIG a problem when they go out of there sport routin...

I said this on page 3:   The dog in the example of 'testing' (above) was actually 'washed' from that department's program, not because he was inferior in the man-work, but his tracking/nose-work was not coming along as well as they (the department) wanted. Since tracking and nose-work was their 'bread and butter', this dog was sold to an inner-city police department in USA (not sure where) and became a successful apprehension dog after going through that department's training class (or so I was told).

Vito - I also really like that dog Gazze.    I would like to know if her inclination to bark on the non-sleeve side of helper in the blind is natural or trained behaviour.    My guess is it is a natural behaviour, after watching the video, and I really like to see that picture in the blind.    Most impressive bitch.....want more like that.

Here is the pedigree of the dog that I mentioned in my OP (and put up a pic on bottom of page 1), which went on to become a validated/working K9 in BC.   My dog was litter-mate to this one.   Sport dog breeding  Wink Smile:

No. Not talking about you. At least not that you know. ;). Someone made a statement that I disagreed with and disappeared leaving everyone else here to argue with. You missed out, but the moment has passed.

Yeah, that's a nice dog.

Joan

Your video didn't work for me.

by joanro on 10 November 2018 - 23:11

Koots, can you load the clip some other way than the drop box, for me?

Vito, it's a platz from the long bite. Three year old dog. The male playing ball in the house with the baby with a young female dog....if you saw the other video.
