That's ok, Blitzen,. I already know the answer...hell yes! That Iraqi thing was costing over a billion dollars a week. Check your facts on that , I you would, Blitzen. But pretty sure that's what the reports were. At that rate, it doesn't take long for the trillions to build up over the years. Obama didn't create that debt, as you already stated. But some people will forever blame him.:(

That factcheck site is misguiding presenting the numbers. In my opinion, and this is what I do, go directly to the Congressional Budget Office and the Treasury Dept. Even those numbers prolly are not correct simpley because the numbers are sooo big, I mean we are talking 9 and 12 zero's (0)'s behide any given number. The debtclock dot com is good too.  We need a FULL audit of the Federal Reserve to even know what dire situation we are in - as if it's not dire already the numbers we do have to work with.

Last night I did a whole write up on this thread on the numbers just based on what the public knows via MSM. Unfortunately for me, my computer went haywire when I hit submit.

All one really needs to do is search those two site's above for every Act, Bill or Order passed under each President. Last night I did Clinton, Carter, Reagan, Bush, Bush Jr., Obama and Taft << (Taft because there was NO Federal Reserve)

We can blame presidents all day long threw each admin all the way back to Wilson. The fact of the matter is, we are screwed. We are so screwed, by the year 2020 we will be working in quadrillion's that's how fast our debt is growing and how fast presidents are spending. Do the math. All it is is long addition.

Our current debt ceiling is 16.2 trillion 16,200,000,000,000. This figure alone proves Bush is far behind in spending compared to Obama. Just look at the numbers .. forget rhetoric on websites - Bush raised the debt ceiling 7 times totalling 4.8 trillion. Obama 3 times in one year to 16.2 !!! NOBODY can deny this !!!!

Forget about pointing fingers is a blame game - facts are: all of them continue to tax and spend while NONE of them have CUT spending looking back 60 years even.

Regardless who did what doesn't matter anymore (the numbers are too big), with these numbers and nothing to show for it but more war, spending and taxing something catastrophic is gonna happen - Gerald Celente says by Christmas 2012. Who knows anymore.

When the SHTF, I hope for a Military Junta, personally.

Here for those of you who don't like to research or do the math  - L@@K at the numbers. Compare the numbers. What do YOU see ?  http://www.usdebtclock.org/  compare the amounts of us paying taxes to what the government is taxing us. Then L@@K at the unfunded liabilities VS the money creation. The Federal Reserve can't even print fast enough money outta thin air.

BE, your posts almost always leave me scratching my head thinking - WTF did she just say. This time I get it and kudos to you for doing your homework and stating facts instead of personal rhetoric or parroting Rush and the boys.

The current level of spending can't be disputed, it is what it is. What we don't know is where to draw the line when it comes to what is needed to get us out of the recession. Reduced spending hasn't worked in Europe. Will it work here? The best economists in the world are split on that, so people like us really have no clue.

Maybe we could start small by stop buying products made in china and keep money here. Stop buying at Walmart...and stop wasting money on pointless wars. Redue nafta, bring manufacturing back to USA., just for starters that MIGHT make a difference.

I have a clue.

Cutting spending WILL work in America because we have a free market - no other country has what we have - NONE !!! When the government stops spending and regulating -  Americans will spend and create !! America stands alone in Constitutional economics - this was never disputed before 1913. This very reason alone had the whole world in AWWW back in the early days.

Our friends in Europe can only wish for what we have over here in our markets - we need to get government outta the free market and go back to the US Constitution. It's that simple. WE can do this. As devistating as it is we can reset our government. It is a must.

NO other country out there can compete with America in our Constitutional free market capitalist society - NO COUNTRY - history proves and they know it. TPTB know it. Americans know it. Someone or a group of someone's somewhere does not like America as founded !!!! Someone or a group of someone's is jealous of what we have as the Law of the Land and are visiously controlling our 3 branches in a macro-engineered type distruction of economics, morale and legislation before our eyes.

Just look at the tobacco, steam engine and steel industry. The first Ford car ever on the road was fueled by hemp oil and could go 65 miles an hour. A friggin plant !!! Then the government got involved. I never even seen a speed limit sign higher than 65 MPH. lol

Any guesses on who said this:    If you were successful, somebody along the line gave you some help.  There was a great teacher somewhere in your life.  Somebody helped to create this unbelievable American system that we have that allowed you to thrive.  Somebody invested in roads and bridges.  If you’ve got a business -- you didn’t build that.  Somebody else made that happen.  The Internet didn’t get invented on its own.  Government research created the Internet so that all the companies could make money off the Internet. If you guessed the socialist in chief, mr obummer you are correct.

What's your point, Ranger?

I don't agree with everything he's saying like don't vote or some of his religious views - but he knows his stuff when he talks about numbers and the economy.
