We brought two puppies from Churchill Wealden in Charing back in Dec 2007. One puppy was fine, the other had a horrific cough on day 2 and then an allergy and flakeness on her back. we took her to the vets that he had said he had their vacaniations done at and they didnt seem too bothered. We changed vets after the second visit as wasnt happy with the outcome. We also contacted the breeder who said to keep him in touch. We never received our papers either. Now I see why the Vet wasnt bothered.
When we took her to another vets he said that it was an allergy that she had ( which any dog can develop or be bread with) but that the cough was a paralysed flap at the back of her throat and that we would have to keep an eye on it and it may need surgery. We considered going back to the Breeder but had by that time A) fallen in love with our little girl, and B) was told some breaders put down the sick puppy even if it doesnt need to be. We think ours was the runt of the litter and may be why she has been ill, however now I am little unsure reading these posts.
She is now 3 and has had endless problems, like a bleed out for no reason during a routine spray op, which we are still getting to the bottom of the cause. She does bleed alot if cut. She has is now on steroids as we cant stop the itching of the back to the point she makes herself bleed. She snorts like a pig due to her throat and snores louder than any person I know.
The other lab hasnt had any real problems.
8 months after getting our little girl, my sister purchased a male choc lab from them. As he has grown he is looking less and less like a pure breed choc lab and everyone asks what he is crossed with. His legs are too long, his eyes look really unusual. He also has a itching problem (and no the dogs dont see each other more than once every few months so not passing it between them.)
If this guy is generally breeding problem dogs then I hope he is stopped as its not fair on the dogs.
When I tried to call him back a few times he ignored me and also was very rude, so I can only presume its the same guy.

Dog he sold us was ill had lots of blood in her stool he did not give a crap about us my vet contacted me to ask about vacines given he could not provide any info!!. We have had to pay out £150+ vet bills so far

More vet bills £150+ I also have just found out as well that the Pedigree paperwork is all wrong one peace of paper says one dog with a number then the other bit of paperwork has a different dog on it all together. Just goes to show you that they must make it up as they go along lol. We also had to give her the 1st injection as Mr John Vant would not give us the details which my vet was asking for about the vaccination she was given. So no detail means he did not give her first vaccine as promised, so we had to worm  her because he probably didn't even do this either. To be honest this bloke is a complete tosser and he him self should be put down.

unfortunatley i too have been conned by this p*ss poor excuse of a man. my yellow lab is showing signs of aggresion, i have been told that this is probably because he was removed from his mother to early and she never showed him anything. i purchased my dog from guildford, postcode gu3 3js which is keen lane. if you google map it you can see the farm that i got him from. my dog is very small for his age. we purchased our dog on fri around 17th sept. I have spoken to someone in the know that has had experience with this dick as well. Mr vant always refers to his self as toby, but we know thats not true johny boy. as you have been doing this for the last 30 years you will soon be an old man who hopefully suffers the same fate as the poor bitches you breed from.
