I agree with you GSD. I do not fear God. How can you fear the one who saved you? How can you fear the one who lives in your heart?

What is difficult to discern is Gouda's true motivation. Is it pure benevolence, where he is truly concerned for others, or does this carrying on somehow fulfill his criteria for being what he perceives to be a "christian".

GOd is a GOD of love not fear.
THE people of the Old Testament lived in fear until GOD sent HIS son, Jesus to save us from all the fear , and placed understanding that dwells in us thru the Spirit
The BOOKS of the Epistles, from Hebrews to Romans teaches us how to DECERN the spirits and to learn FALSE teachers, who use the name of JESUS to attain all kinds of things.
Religion is not of LOVE...GOD IS LOVE> Many BIG named
CHURCHES have lost in todays world of GREED the way to the CRoss.. THe GOD who is our creator set all this in motion and HE knows which way it will go.
It is mans choice to accept GODS love and forgiveness...
God knows man is selfish and is self centered., but he teaches us how to overcome...and he offers FORGIVENESS not an axe and blood and guts...
MANY use Jesus name and many teachings will not pass the test of GODS words, in the Epistles.
We are to walk by faith not by sight.. GOD judges us and abides in us...but like Keith ask why do we judge people?, we do not judge people, we use our wisdoms to observe actions , and try to deliver a new way to live, same way you use to buy a new shepherd for your breeding program.
None of us, me or you are not deserving of Gods LOVE but he gave it to us.

True YR. Accepting the invitation to the table is the beginning of a journey one continues to have the choice to follow or not. Love is always a choice, or it is not love. Love is a choice every day. Drive thru "christianity" is the very trash that produces the hipocrites spoken of by others here. You cannot diminish the path of cross to a single day perhaps 30yrs ago in the second pew of your grandpa's church when 'AmazingI Grace" just sounded so sweet you couldn't resist the alter call. YES. Carlin, and like GSD said, this is the reason our Call to Christianity is in such shape it is in today, but it was that way also when Jesus walked the streets of this earth too. <Man is basically selfish. All of us are unworthy of GODS gift but HE gave it to us to receive. USE IT.
Many a person, walked down an isle and by pressure of others, said I do...to God but they did not nor still do know what they accepted
Many years later, many of those , finally have realized and they walk the narrow path of the Cross and they do drink of the cup and eat of the Bread of Life, and they try to help others do the same.
BUT WITH LOVE, not cohersion and with BIG GRAND Standing>>.I , think I understand, now that I have thought about it, with a little help from Wisdom on High, what you are referring to in a previous post.
Grand standing the LOVE of GOD is not gonna help a person to think of love and peace and help in their life.
It is a show and if we get into the Occupation of SHOWLINE RELIGION...instead of just showing our Love and respect quietly , but not under a bushel of sticks or hidden and never sharing it, but Grand standing does nothing but turn the lost soul away . SOME come in but when the SHOW is over, they are left with nothing but emptiness and turn back to the worldliness.
A personal relationship with GOD>. IF you do not have a personal relationship with your Heavenly Father, you will not be receptive to all he can lend you while you are here on HIS earth.
