I hope that one day I can be smart enough to create a business and make enough money to not have to rely on "government health care"... That used to be the American dream - to create a business and get rich, or at least become self sufficiant............
Now people are envious (one of the secondary seven), and sit around complaining and finding excuses.
Frankly, I'm not sure which is worse, greed or envy and sloth.

Frankly,
Ignorance is much worst and way too common these days.

SitasMom, I am right there with you.
As far as the person buying the horse, why in the hell did these people not have a vet check prior to purchase? That is the number one thing to do prior to buying a horse worth money. Even I know that and my son's pony is worth maybe $1000. You never, never, never purchase a horse without a vet check and radiographs, especially a big money horse.
As far as those angry that Ann owns $100,000 plus horses, why can't she? It's their family's money. If I had the money I would too, and I don't even compete. My son does, but I groom the horse because it calms me. Why can't she buy her own damn horse and spend what she wants of HER OWN MONEY?
This country is turning way too much into a "gimme" country. I had zero hand-outs growing up and I have zero hand-outs now. I don't expect any because I work and pay for what I have and I do NOT rely on the government to get me my next meal or mortgage payment.

I just can't understand why people refuse to just focus on the things they can change and worry less about those they can't. So many people these days are so quick to judge what and how people do things, but if they were under a magnifying glass, they too could be up for some real scrutiny. Just my 2 cents anyway.

Agreed with Jagger. Rule number one in a horse purchase. GET A VET CHECK no matter what price range of horse or dont cry latter. She does not personally care/train for her international dressage horse so what makes you think she did the one sold? Is there proof the horse sold was not injured after purchase? Is there proof she knew the trainer/ grooms/vet drugged the horse?
Horses are a buyer beware purchase just like dogs. Race horses/ jumpers and many other sport horses are doped for pains off and on much of their career for pain just as many football players for body aches after playing a couple years make them stiff getting out of bed in the morning. Bodies have limits yet they always want the athletes both two legged and four legged to prove they are not average in what they can take and keep going..
