"I did not always believe what I do. I remember vividly not believing in anything. That didn't change because someone was able to prove to me the existence of God. I don't fear or deny scientific fact. I don't have to have all the answers. Who am I to qualify or quantify the mechanisms by which God created the universe, evolution or otherwise. While I believe the bible is the inerrant, impaired Word of God, I don't think that it contains all there is to God. By the same token, to try to refute God because our little piss-ant civilization discovers string theory doesn't prove to me that string theory has no author; arrogance. In the scope of things, even our greatest scientific achievements whether it be the shuttle or the Hadron Collider are so insignificant in time and will not be remembered. "
I really like this!!..I have enjoyed reading your posts!!..

From the text copied and read twice, in multiple colors now, I think I am not the one with the learning disability.
The bible is both the inerrant and impaired word of god?
On another note,
string theory is a desperate attempt by impaired minds to change directions after years of banging their heads against a brick wall.
Equally it has nothing to do with any religions.
My sister in-law thinks God got her a job...lol
Could such a thing be possible in your opinion?
Sorry Carlin,
your here so I ask, it's nothing personal.

That statement of :"my sister in law thinks GOd got her a job"
First of all, that statement , if she makes it like that, is the talk of an immature Child of God.
A person is given inner strength, when we believe and live a life in the Spirit, we get up every day and we ask GOD for Wisdom to make GOOD choices, after we give HIM thanks first, and praise for giving you another day of breathe and ability to see or think.
Then you gather up you own personal brains and inner get up and go, because GOD gives a whole BIBLE FULL of encouragements, inner thoughts and if you have HIS love in your heart and you want to do good and you have the will to provide for a family or help make money, you have the WILL to go look for a job.
Evidentually she was in the right place, she used judgement of her own will, and her attempt to have a phone or a pen to write an application, came from her WIll to please, herself, maybe a husband, or kids and to be a lady who keeps a goal set.
YOU get all this WILL from other christians and from Gods presence in your life, knowing , some how , things will positively come about. NOT all prayers are anwered, but God gives us wisdom, and knowledge, and he opens doors but we have to wait on HIM and we have to ask for his guidance. HE doesn't do it for you....
It is me ,myself and I, but God is first, and a person with GOD first will always find their way..NOT always the way they want or like but one ,that works until another comes along..Intercessory prayer works as others work with her and encourage and ask for guidance and she evidentually did something right..
We walk by faith not by sight. Jesus never did it for the people he healed, he ask them to Believe and then they had to DO something to get up and walk, or pick up their tares, or DO was the obey...

Isn't that the truth.

I don't think you understood what I was trying to convey to you. Romans chapter 10 has to do with the problem of self righteousness. Being self righteous interferes with evangelism.

by yellowrose of Texas on 03 February 2012 - 22:02
The Jew first and then the Gentile..Yes self righteousness is the cause today of same consequences.
Self centered we all are at times and we have to put ourself back in the position we belong in..
A child obeying the Father who keeps us in HIS grace.
t
The last words of the BIBLE are
"The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all.. Amen
The End

"Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery. Today is a gift that's why it's called the present."
I know that there is nothing better for men than to be happy and do good while they live. Ecc. 3:12
