I was interest in a puppy from the Czech Republic, the breeder told me that the pup must be at least 3 months old to be shipped, anyone has the same experience?
I prefer 8 weeks, is it 3 months from Germany also?

Same applies to Canada. I think there are ways to get around it if the breeder knows the right people.

Czech Republic is rabies free, according to CDC. I don't see why you should have to wait unless it's not a rule of theirs that they have to be three months old to fly.

I received this e-mail today from the breeder: Yes, unfortunately it's the governmment's decision to balance the baby from the Czech Republic to Amerika !! Animal health rules are bad, but I must regretfully.
Just to Canada may send a puppy from 10 weeks. Puppies for sale in Europe is also 10 weeks, but have come to a new owner for the producer.
I understand that you don'twant to wait that long and good luck with the new puppy.

Try Germany, then. Ten weeks is the youngest they'll send a puppy off.

I believe the 3 months criterion is something imposed by the transporting airlines, if I am not mistaken. And if a shipment happens prior to that, they must be fiddling with the paperwork to enable the shipment.
Either way, I am guessing you are looking at the Czech lines for certain specific traits that are lacking in the dogs from other parts of the world. If so, then I guess you should wait for a 3-month old from the Czech republic that you wanted, than just jump on any pup.
