I saw this post on Facebook. Somebody wants to make a dog that looks like this. It's not real yet, but it is in the works. It is called the Mollosso Presa Mayo. It's a mix between the American Staffordshire Terrier, the English Bull Terrier, and the Presa Canario. I'm guessing the point is for a vicious looking protection dog.

Computer generated dog concept: Point, entertainment. Ok.

RL: Point, $. Some major brain defect present in the human who attempts/does this.

Damn ugly, and the thing looks to be a cumbersome mover with breathing problems on its lifeline horizon. Euthanasia rate and death by gunshot predicted to be 85%. Mauled children and human throats ripped out resulting in deaths will be inevitable. The originator of this breed should then be allowed to be sued and prosecuted.

The man Chad Mayo is supposedly attempting it. He's made at least one representation already. I saw it in a video.

Edit to add: Video is likely edited, though.

Once again, dogs suffer for man's ego. Surely there is an existing breed to satisfy this man's need for a 'penis on a leash' ??

This is the type of person who would want to breed those mastiff-headed GSD's.

I tried to cross a pitbull with a crocodile when I lived down under. All I ended up with was some doggone nice boots.

You'd think more people would be disgusted, but I've seen a few "how much for a puppy" comments.

Talk is cheap. Not like this is a real breed with a standard and able to be repeated with its progeny. The guy is a UPS driver and likes to draw. He has an imagination. I checked him out. Likes those bulked up bully dogs on steroids. Ugh.

You a fan? I don't bother with disgust at the dogs, only the people who think they need one, or inventing that there is even a purpose. Of course, it has always been said about people, "There is no accounting for taste."

This fellow, Chad Mayo, isn't the first jackhole who's tried to make their fortune doing this, and I'm sure he won't be the last.

Who can forget the "Donovan Pinscher"? The creatures pictured above, aside from being dead-ugly, appear to be as large as some species of livestock--so where does something like that live? It hasn't got a coat that would protect it in winter, but it's far too large to be bringing into the house...you'd have to build an actual bungalow for the mutant creature he's picturing.

We already have similar crossbreeds running almost into consistent 'breed' type over here, because the APBT and the (UK version of the) Staffordshire Bull Terrier have been much bred together, with Bull Terriers and/or Dogues de Bordeaux (French Mastiffs) thrown in the mix. Fortunately they are not as fugly as this computer generated dog. We don't have many Presa Canarias here for the idiots to play with.

Because of the risk of being picked up under the Dangerous Dogs Act, open demand for them AS A 'BREED' is negligible, but they are very popular, and ubiquitous in cities (London, Birmingham, Manchester) - and Rescue shelters.

@ Koots: 'penis on a leash' - Thumbs Up
