It's been awhile, and the resources I've found online don't help... (I do have the diagrams, though.)
After you've done the on-leash portion, you exit the group, remove the leash, do the 'group' routine a second time and then??
Do you redo the 60 paces out, followed by the 180 degree turn, then fast-slow-normal for 10-15 paces, or do you go directly into the motion exercises (sit, walk out, return to dog, then the down, 30 paces out, call dog and finish.)
Also, how many paces should you walk out after the sit before asking for the down? And do you tell the dog to 'sitz' first, then 'platz' or just 'platz'?

Someone who's done this routine recently can maybe give a more updated report...

Thanks, Suzie!
It doesn't specifically say the heeling exercise has to be repeated all over again off leash, but I believe Q-Man is right about that.
ETA: wonder why I didn't think of this before? I googled YouTube videos of the BH routine, and found several nice ones that have answered all my questions! DUH...
I just CANNOT believe how fast this dog learns! We did the routine off-leash for the first time yesterday, and I didn't have to give her a singe correction, except for a very sloppy sit on the final 'fuss'!
Downside of that is, if you repeat something too many times, she starts to anticipate...
They started her on an adult sleeve a couple of weeks ago, and she goes after it like it's the best thing she's ever seen! She's lightning fast, too!

Look at "Trial Rules", page 28 (at the bottom) is the start of the heeling.
