I see more and more breeders taking payPal for payments. Is this better for both parties?...Quicker transaction it would seem

Paypal is great for both parties - but there are a couple of drawbacks: Benefits: 1) there is no risk of bogus cashier's checks or money orders, and it takes no more time than waiting for a check through the mail. 2) Buyers don't have the hassle of having to go to the bank or post office for Cashier's check or money order and having to mail it. 3) buyers may have initially budgeted for a lower price, but if they can use their credit card and pay it out, they can afford a higher quality, higher priced pup/dog. 4) Buyers can immediately place a deposit on (or pay for)the pup/dog they want, and take it "off the market". 5) Paypal automatically generates confirmations and receipts, for the buyer and seller, thereby limiting the amount of paperwork buyers and sellers need to write. Drawbacks: 1) The receiver of the money will lose a 2.9% fee, so some sellers actually charge the extra 2.9% on top of the sales price for Paypal transactions. 2) Cross-border fees if the money is coming from another country 3) there can be 3-4 days "downtime" before the transfer to your bank account (which you must do manually); however, All in all, the pros outweigh the cons in my opinon

I agree. Paypal is easy to sign up for and is great for getting paid/paying for items on ebay, online, etc. You can even get an atm/debit Paypal card to use like a checking acct debit card and also they have a Paypal credit card available, too. They also provide money-back guarantees for both the seller and buyer. Go to Http://www.paypal.com and check out the details.
