Elkoorr

A co-worker asked me for advice for her potty training issues with a Yorkie. I guess she didnt want to commit to the work to start with, because as another co-worker joined the conversation she was all up for the advice by that one: stick his nose in it and whack him with a news paper over the head!

Oh, to a previous comment. I do own a dog that dislikes sleeves full of slobber or anything like grass/ leaves on it. She will bite it and then spit it out, rolling her tongue around in her mouth to get the "nasties" out. She also never liked to carry a tug or sleeve. Yep, she got her SCHH1, and looking good for a 2 at our fall trial.

The club member I was referring to who declared her dog didn't like anything with another dog's spit on it was seven years ago at a club up north.....her dog would not bite a sleeve, so no title and not you. Sorry. But glad you were able to title your dog despite her sensitivity to what she bites...shows perseverance on your part.....Thumbs up to you. :-)

Took a Show Line to a Working Line club. After watching and enjoying their session, I asked if I could bring my old dog out for a "mercy bite". The helper rolled his eyes and said, sure tell me about her... 6 years, titled, show line, not been worked for a few months. He asked if I wanted to embarrass myself and I said sure, why not. The whole club had gathered ready to make a little fun of me and my dog.
I got my bitch, put harness on, and she dragged me 200 yards to the helper. Helper, looking worried asked if she was safe or if she was going to bite him.... He wanted to do a "test bite" away from the blind. He got ready, told me to let go, the bitch launched into him, gripping the sleeve perfectly and completely knocked him over. He got up, and tried it again, and she did it again, this time while still on the ground said. "Oh my God, this dog can bite! I cannot believe it, a show dog that can bite better than all our working dogs." They put up another blind, we did a n IPO from start to finnish.
I put her up, came back to the crowd, the prez said, "sure she can bite, but I bet she cant do a BH"... I got her back out, we did a perfect BH and put her up again. Came back to the crowd prez said that was excellent and said I bet she can't track...... someone laid a short track I brought her out, (she had not tracked in a year) she did a "passing track". Put her up again and asked if she would be good enough to join the club......They said, "Show Lines can't work, we don't accept them in our club."

We want a sport puppy for Shitzhand, we want our puppy to be low drive and mellow.

"I say sit and my puppy ignores me."
"Have you taught him the sit command yet?"
"No, they're supposed to know what I'm saying!"

"Here in the woods there are animals running around with dog heads and human bodies. My neighbor steals dogs and rapes them and this is the result.  I know because he raped me too and now I have cancer of the spine and he will have to pay for my headstone."

An honest-to-goodness true conversation with one of our clients at the vet office. All we could think of saying was - can you capture a breeding pair for us?

How much does your dog weigh?
80 lbs
Isn't that a bit small, real german shepherds weigh 125!

What a cute puppy, will he pee in the house and bite us?
Yes, until a puppy is house trained and is taught not to puppy bite, it will.
Well, your puppies must be stupid.

I want a small german shepherd, maybe 50 lbs as an adult,  that's quiet and calm.
Maybe you should do more research, what you're describing isn't a german shepherd.
Dont tell me I don't know what a german shepherd is supposed to be.

Do they shed, I don't want a dog that sheds?

But what about one that believes a dog can only produce blacks if he has a black spot on his tongue? Or that only wants a black because they are not a "real" GSD and are much more loyal? And the one I like the best. The people came the week before they were ready to go home and went ahead and paid me for their puppy. When they came back the next week to get him, first of all, she was sure that wasn't the dog, she had picked. Well we worked through that. Then when we went over the contract and this was the dealbreaker. "Well, you don't mind if I breed him every now and again for 50 or 100 just for a little "pocket money"? That's when I almost blew a fuse. I whipped out my checkbook, wrote them a check for the total amount, tore up the contract and sent them on their way, dogless.....What part of LTD registration do you not get? (after I had spent the Sunday before explaining everything to them in detail) When she paints this pocket money pic, all I can see is any old bitch coming down the road.................Ah yes clients are quite the trip....................

If they don't have a black spot on their tongue, they are not real GSD's.
If they don't have a black spot on their tongue, they won't be any good for protection.
If they have a black spot on their tongue, they're mixed with ChoCho.

I bought this puppy from you a year ago, the akc won't let me register the puppies....
Does she have a show title, a working title, hip/elbow certified yet?
No.
Then the puppies will not be registered, and by the way you have voided my health guarantee.
You can't to that. I'm going to sue you!
Go and read the contract...
You will hear from my lawyer...

How much time do you have to work with a new puppy?
I'm really busy and don't have much time at all.
Do you have 5 minutes twice a day?
No
You don't need one of my puppies.
