I recently came across this video and i want to know what was the purpose of this vudeo hat was the breeder trying to show us. From what i see the dog is being somewhat agressive to the person because either he thinks that the person is trying to take his food and is warning him or he doesnt want to be disturbed whilst eating

cant see the video, there is a difference between fooddrive and foodagression, many  people today dont even know how to train a dog if it doesnot have high fooddrive, foodagression is not especially desirable in my book, but if a dog has it so be it and we will work around that

I dont mind if i have a dog who displays food aggression i dont see the need to annoy him for no apparent reason

LOL can see it now, some people think this is awesome, and it shows courage of dog, but its not, there are nervebags that show this behaviour as well, and the title, food drive is misleading, as its food agression

IMO, it is revealing of how someone who is recognized as a top breeder probably is more about marketing than product. I don't see the video having anything to do with food drive. You could argue it shows defense drive where the dog is defending a high value resource, food, which is required for survival. It also shows someone idiotically agitating his own dog while the dog is trying to eat. Food drive is a high desire for food which is used to reinforce the dog in small amounts so the dog doesn't become satiated and remains motivated. It is also simply a factor of hunger and can be manipulated by limiting the food a dog gets when he is not being trained.

Few, simple words. Leave the dog alone when its eating, no need for theatrics, they prove nothing.

if that was performed once, it may be seen as test.
if that was constant exercise, it obvious sign of stupidity.
video itself shows desire for resource possession but also lack of selfconfidence and not sufficient aggression in dogs.

my dog is a wus with food, i think just about anyone could take it from her, she doesn't guard it from people at all. so what does this mean about her? She's just not possessive?
i dont know if she would share with another dog or not, but she will share toys with them for sure.

yeah, that is straight up food aggression, not drive. Also looks like it's being repeated.

not sure about the drive on that one.
