Anyway, I have done a bit of research and have not come up with much on the topic.
Unlike Prince, Damien has only one descending testicle.
I’ve talked to his vet about it a while ago and I know there are different schools of thought on the treatment or if any is needed to remove the undescended one, but that’s not what I am looking for feedback on.
My question is this~
Will a male with only one descended testicle have less prominent secondary sex characteristics then a male who has two normal ones.🙃
Just an observation that my male Damien is still very much puppy like ,,,
Not quiet as masculine as my male Prince
and my fiancé who has owned several dogs says all the time that Damien appears so puppy’ish for his age. I was thinking it could be breeding and maybe late to mature,,,
Then I got to thinking about the testicle and wondered if others has any interesting feedback ,,,
Thanks 😊

No change in the dog's behaviour, but fix him as it can metastasize in the future and cause cancer Enjoy your dog

One of my favorite police dogs, if not the favorite, was a legend named Hercules. Nice Czech dog. We called him Herc, and he was worked by another handler in my department. Tough, hard, fearless do little justice for Herc's character. He was sometimes jokingly referred to as 'The Uniballer' as he had retained a testicle until it was removed around ten years of age. Went on to live another four after the surgery. He had strong, masculine features and a very dominate personality.

Sometimes the testicle isn't just retained - it's totally missing. Now THAT would affect testosterone.

I honestly don’t know if he has a nondescending one, or a missing one ,,,,

When Damien was checked I remember the vet being indecisive during the examination. As is she didn’t exactly feel something that she could say was undescended. Until your comment it never even occurred to me that he was born without one ,,, I always assumed the issue was an undescended testicle rather then a missing one !!
Seems silly now that it never occurred to me lol ,,,
