I am from Austria and I have bought and resold many dogs from Hungary. I know some really trustable breeders there, if you need help, please feel free to contact me: sandrapets2000@yahoo.com

The breeder I bought my last shepherd from has a Hungarian-born female. She is listed on this site, her name is Arachis Tini. I haven't met her personally, but she is a great looking dog and has produced some beautiful pups. The breeder's site is www.struble-k9.com.

What breeders are you looking at and what do you want the dogs for? What lines? This will help people point you in the right direction.

You have to be careful no matter where you buy the dog from. I have been fortunate and have found a good contact in Hungary for there are some very nice dogs there. But I have also been screwed many times as well.

We are lucky as we do not have to work through anyone there, as being from there.

My dog is from hungary. He is being worked as a police k-9. I don't think I could have asked for a better partner. He is all around a very sold dog. I have three kids at home and he just loves them. He is very social until I tell him other wise.

Theirs so many great dogs here in America... Great studs such as VA1 (DK) Karat's Ulko BHP3, IPO3, KKL1a (saw this dog and LOVED HIM!) VA6 (USA) Hoss v Hirmer Teich, SchH3, kkl1a (saw this dog and LOVED HIM!) VA1 SUCH Triumphs Gucci SchH3 IPO1 BHP3 Kkl1 (saw this dog and LOVED HIM!) VA3 (USA) Fox von der Bildeiche SchH3 IPO3 Kkl1 (saw this dog and LOVED HIM!) and bunch more whom I haven't seen yet. Why do you guys still depending on other countries to import dogs? This isnt to bash the current American breeders but what happen to the slogan "We breed to IMPORVE the breed" ? Each year probably 70 puppies or more are born... Don't tell me that most of them went to pet ONLY homes :(

ummm... really, really, really silly question Brit? How do you suppose those many great dogs came to America????

D.H not a silly question at all. What I'm trying to point out is that theirs so many great dogs in America NOW that theirs really no excuse for American breeders to start improving their breeding program better and to start using their OWN breeding stock to show/trial/etc and not having to show an import everytime. contuine buying import bitches to breed and to resell and to import another bitch, not improving nothing but to pop out more puppies and have nothing to show as far as their breeding program. Look at Mittelwest kennels for a PERFECT example... Some of her homebred males (some are imports, I know that!) http://mittelwest.com/German%20Shepherd%20Dog%20Stud%20Service%20pictures.htm And some of her breeding females... (Some are imports, I know that!) http://mittelwest.com/German%20Shepherd%20Dog%20Breeding%20Females%20pictures.htm This is what Im trying to point out here.. It would be so nice seeing an American bred dog win VA status, or high V at the sieger Show and not some import. Hell it would be SUPER if an American bred dog wins VA status at BSZS!
