What to expect? - Page 1

I am new to the dutchie world (I've worked with them but never owned one) but am looking for a new dog. Can anyone tell me how much I can expect to pay for a young green dog under 2 years old (no puppies)? I realize importing changes the cost of the dog as well. So how much is a reasonable range for a dog here in the states and how much if i were to import? Thanks so much.

It depends on the quality of dog your looking for.  A pup in the US, 800-1500.  Getting a "green dog" depends on many things.  For example, our local Dept. paid 9000.00 for a 18 month old dual purpose PSD prospect "green dog"  but he was the real deal.  Do some reaserch on different breeders and see what you like.  the most important thing is having a clear goal on what you want from the dog and how much of a dog you can handle.
