I have a grandson from Erasmus van Noort, he is 3 years old in September and is still growing. My dog has inherited his pigmentation, bone structure and temperament. Is almost like having Erasmus with me at home. His looks turn people heads during walks and car rides. I can’t wait to breed him next year to one of my females and to pass this progeny down. Erasmus bloodline is a gift that keeps giving. One of the best!

I have a grandson of Erasmus his name is Moses Von der Neelsburg he resides in Fayetteville NC. Moses is 13 months old and looks just like his grandpa. We own and operate a small breeding kennel, come visit us at www.newmanhauskennels.com. We currently are mating Moses with Savanna which is the daughter of VA3 (US) Jaguar von der Mäusespitz. This breeding should produce some beautiful puppies with high qualities. Please feel free to enquire about this litter anytime at newmanhauskennels@embarqmail.com. Thanks Newman's

This excellent sire after the great Yasko farbenspiel, has produced many suberb females and a number of males. I have always loved his type, bonestructure and pigmentation - and these are trademarks he has given to his progeny.

Dear Friends, I must apologize to all of you for the behavior of a few people from our country, who seem to be bent on giving the whole lot a bad name. Allow me to assure you the average member of German Shepherd Dog Club of Pakistan ( GSDCP ) is just so keen, and enthusiastic as anyone else, anywhere else, and is steadily working hard towards improving the standard of the breed in our country. At the same time, there are and shall always be, a few disgruntled ones too, who find it more interesting to spread disinformation. For the benefit of you all, our club was not founded in the 70’s, but in 1981. Our president is not paralyzed for the last 15 years, but hale and hearty, and we did not have 35 dogs in our sieger show, but 48 ( which also happens to be more than last year ). And then to come to the latest accusation, the female in question has not whelped till today ( can be inspected at my house, being partly owned by me!!! ), so could not have been 5 weeks pregnant on the show day ( February 12 ). I do not need to waste any more time or space in negating baseless points, and hope the matter will finally be considered closed by all concerned. This forum is for people to learn and enjoy their love for the Shepherd with fellow hobbyists. Best for all to maintain the atmosphere of friendliness and respect, and to allow everyone to enjoy their hobby to the best. Truth somehow happens to be very tough and resilient, and finally manages to survive all attempts on its life!! One may try to hide it with a lot of effort, so it is very well hidden, but resurface it will, or so we all believe. I apologize once again to you all.

Hi! Even i am a DObermann guy! which country are you from and wats ur kennel?

But i am also a great GSD ethusiast from India.

I think that as he is an excellent producer and very well cofirmed he should be VA1 and he is the dog who is still making Ursus von Batu famous!

That would be shameful if he really did that. I think he the most best producing of the bitches in this generation of the GSD! I suspect him being VA, probably not V1 but in the middle. Hope he "feels better" for the 2004 Sieger show!

Very good looking male. He is young but im pretty sure that he will improve his breedings. I am drolling over the bitches that he has produced. the only thing he needs to produce better on is the males, which needs more bone. I really like one of his males of which he needs to work on producing more of, which is Salo vom Steigerhof that i expect him to be the sieger in the next 3 to 4 years from now, or less.

I must agree with the comments made on the prodgeny so far of ERASMUS, although it is early days and at least this young male was able to put in prodgeny group, I have made a few observations on the young VA males who at this stage can only have SG graded progeny in the 12to 24 months age classes,in addition I have also listed each % of A- normal hips so far to date and the number of submited xrays to gain this percentage, this might give you some insight to possible future of these current young VA`s , I started this COMMENT with Erasmus so I will give his result first,( make your own minds up on who will make their mark in the future given time)Males and female results added together.
Erasmus...SG,2,7,13,16,21,35,46. 71%normal 25 submitted.
Bax.....SG,1,1,3,5,6,14,17,19,26,27,38,50.
70%normal 128 submitted.
Larus....SG,33,40,47,48,50. 45%normal 11 submitted.
Hill.....SG,9,11,19,22,36. 60%normal 41 submitted.
Ando.....SG,11,23,34. 81% normal 32 submitted.
Quantum...SG,1,4,8,16,18,20,24,34,44,49. 61%normal 35 submitted.
The above information is from data only available upto the 1st October 2003in respect of the hip graded results.Over time only the amount of animals submitted for gradeing against the amount that could have been will show the true results, although this short listing gives you some idea bearing in mind most have been screened/prelims, etc.

His progeny was very disappointing at the 2003 Sieger Show. I was very surprised, having expected much better from him. The majority lackedsubstance and strength of bone, their croups tended to be rather short, and in many cases steep also. heads were generally disappointing. The progeny of Erasmus gave me some understanding as to why his brother has been getting well used, it appears he is producing much better, though I personally have not seen evidence of this so far. I await the Judges (Erich orschler)comments in the December Zeitung, with some interest regarding this dogs progeny.

Hi Big B

I truelu admire this dog a lot and this is my personal pick this year. I am basically a fancier of the Wienerau strains and this dog is truely reminding me of the Winerau standard once again. The rich mehegony color and the wonderful overline is just a fabulous dog overall. This dog has true anatomy with a lovely shoulder placement and good length of upper arm. This dogs progeny so far I have seen is that he is giving good type with clear over line and underline and very good croup placement.
Overall I like the expression of the dog as it has the killer macho look of the Legendary Winerau's
This dog is more over the type of the Quando strain and not of the Ursus type but the advantage using this dog is that by using him it will be an added advantage since the Ursus line is there in him.So you really dont know when something wonderful comes out.

What do you think?????.

I think this dog is very deserving of his VA 6 rating in Ulm. Congrats

This is a dog pedigree, used by breeders and breed enthusiasts to see the ancestry and line-breeding of that individual dog. The pedigree page also contains links to the dogs siblings and progeny (if any exist). For dog owners with purebred dogs this is an excellent resource to study their dog's lineage.
