Al Bravo

I came across a dog a person bought very expensive and couldn’t handle the dog. I knew about the breeder and took over him. Looking for opinions on his pedigree good or bad. Name: Sid of kreative he’s on the database. Thanks

He's a very nice looking boy. His mother's pedigree contains better-known dogs that his father's, perhaps, but there is a good smattering of IPO/SchH 3 on both sides.  Can't quite see why he was particularly expensive to the original owner, but their loss may be your gain, depending of course on exactly what you want to achieve with him. He seems at 5 months to have plenty of potential, on paper.  Good luck with him.  Just going back to the pedigree to look more closely at health results shown ...

On hips, personally in the future I might be cautious about breeding on with this lad, unless it was to a bitch with less A2 gradings in her ancestry, but then I am still hopeful of a great reduction in HD by ONLY breeding on with better hips. Not everyone agrees. Main point is that you seem to be dealing with a situation where most tests available have or are likely to have been routinely done, this is not BYB. Not sure why no ED/HD results available for his dam - you might care to investigate that if you do not already know.

Thank you for your input on this Male yes he’s a great looking dog that was taught nothing but to be in a backyard well taken care of though. He has accomplished a lot even as an adult knows tricks, downs instantly, very social with a very serious look. I got info from the breeder that his damn was cleared on HD/ED. Thanks for knowledgeable input. He has no titles but jas great potential and desire to learn. And yes he’s no BYB no disrespect to BYB Ive personally seen many titled dogs come from BYB.

That's a good pedigree. I can see some handler issues, but well worth everything else that comes associated with it. Sometimes cute little puppies grow into powerful dogs that need to be kept in check, or some cute little pups grow into powerful dogs that don't like how drunk Uncle Billy is throwing the kids in the air making them scream at the backyard picnic. Anyway, at least they were honest about not being able to handle him.

@Al Bravo - yeh, but there is BYB and then there is BYB ! Lot of small hobby breeders use their backyards to get the odd litter, may not know too much about background of dogs they are breeding with, but care about getting health tests done, feeding 'em right, raising the pups carefully ... and then there is the other sort !
