So, this week has just been one of those weeks that you really wish never happened.  I won't mention everything, but a very, very good friend of mine passed away back on Wednesday (she was only 19), and the funeral was today; and if that wasn't bad enough.....two of my dogs must have rolled in something that smelled like skunk. The smell was only on the top of their necks/part of the top of their back.  The odd thing is that I almost feel like I smell a hint of skunk inside my car!! And the dogs haven't ridden in the car for a couple of weeks so I don't get it.  I gave Buck and Max (the one's who got it) a skunk bath..........twice.......and Max still has a slight hint of skunk on his neck (hydrogen peroxide, dawn dish soap, baking soda).   They bush hogged the fields yesterday around our yard, and I'm guessing that drove all the "critters" out. I'm just ready for a new day......and a vacation......

Sorry to hear about your young friend, how sad. :(

I have a skunky smelling dog at the moment too. The stench woke me up in the middle of the night it was so strong in my house.  Ugh. There is nothing like that smell.

Guy,
So sorry for your loss. So young and tragic, it must be very hard for you! Rose

Febreeze works wonders. Try it... on the inside of your car. Probably not good for on the dogs...Wink Smile !

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your friend.  It hurts and there is no way around that, then to add your dogs' and their encounter with the skunk, that is something that just adds to your stress and coping skills.  Please be kind to your self and take some time for self care (sorry to go all shrinky and new age-y, but it does matter coming from someone who's been there).
