Looks like at least 51 dead with 10s still missing. Very sad day in the U.S. Plenty of death and destruction. The admins of PDB send our Heart. May your losses and wounds heal quickly.

Voniisk, I hope you have found your sister by now, Rose. Glad to hear you are okay. Sounds like this is not a good to place for a town, Moore, OK ... this is the second time they have been hit by tornados, the first time in 1999. Very devastating.

P.S. Hundmutter, we'd have to guess at who is hitting the dislikes, first. But I can think of a few reasons. Not going to say it here, in any case.

I can think of a reason or two also, but I'm sure it has nothing to do with the plight Oklahoma is in, as that is very sad indeed.
By the way, I was one of the ones that 'liked' the original posters post, rare as that is.
I hope I didn't give anyone a heart attack!

I don't get hung up on who likes or dislikes my posts. I post what I want and so be it. I know that when I dislike or like a post I do it on the merit of the post. I will dislike a post if it slams these forums in anyway even if the majority of the post is a great post.

All of my deceased husbands nieces, widows and widowers of his sisters and brothers live in Moore
All ok and barely were on the outside of the path. One jumped in vehicle and ran but not good idea. He got damned up in traffic and made his MOM
almost die of heart attack on the idea he was out in it..

But all are ok
Her exchange of 405 went thru this morning

VonisK  :Have you heard?
Valliante is where the rest of my family live and they are watching tonights weather with plans in place.

Tornados seem to take same path every year.  I try to watch where we are looking for a new home as I do not like digging a hole to hide in
Prayers to those not so fortunate and are grieving the loss of family members.

I do wonder why local building codes do not require a basement or shelter of some sort underground be required in all new home construction, not like this is something new.
I've been in one and near two others and wished I had a hole.

One of our nieces in VALIANTE, told me this morning , that graduation is tonight and there is a basement in their school..SO they have a plan..

It may now become a code in new school building.
I have a big pit in my back acreage for Poop...I have always said..grab a big black garbage sack and take my jewelry bags and jump in....lol

It is well built and no smell emits but  now I am in swamp land looking for a boat!!!

My daughter advised me a few hours ago her home is in what is considered Tornado Alley in south Tyler...lol

just what I wanted to hear...280 miles away
