Hmmm....

Florida Senator (D) Audrey Gibson filed Bill 1678.  This bill would require those persons who are purchasing ammunition to take an anger management course and provide proof of completion via a certificate, course to be taken every 10 years.  Said course should consist of, at least, 2 hours of online or face-to-face instruction in anger management techniques. This bill is to take effect July 1, 2013 if passed.  She is surprised at the anger her bill has caused not only in the State of Florida but other states as well.

Well, she's trying, isn't she? LOL  I don't think 2 hours spent for any sort of an anger management certificate is going to help much. You can lead a miserable b*stard to his "happy place" but you can't make him stay there. Especially not over the internet! Haha!

Triple the tax on ammo. That will really get everyone angry, except maybe.... me  Teeth Smile .

Yup; another one of my stunningly brilliant Florida politicians.  Waste of time and money, and completely ineffective.

What they need is an idiot test, but then who would run things when they all fail the test?
All politicians, not just from Florida.

A common sense test would be nice but then most politicians would fail that as well.  How could a 2 hour course online or in person teach anger management techniques? The things that politicians waste time and money on astounds me sometimes and saddens me other times.  A law that states laws of other countries can't be applied like Sharia Law, really?  We have a problem with that in this state?  Stopping the funding for autism spectrum education and research because "this doesn't benefit the citizens of Florida".  Really???  Florida somehow has no cases of autism???  Gov Scott vetoed funding for mental health facilities especially those that have crisis units, overtime for children's case managers and child abuse investigators, cuts in funding for: facilities that help homeless, rape and sexual assault victims, medically fragile children, resource centers for the aging, clinics for the low income and homeless citizens, immunizations for low SES children, fetal alcohol clinics and those for infants born drug addicted.  The Florida Legislature is cutting funding to mental health, drug treatment centers, Medicaid payments made to hospitals and physicians, eliminating 4,400 state jobs, and of course now time will be wasted debating the efficacy of anger management courses to purchase ammunition.  I am in the wrong line of work, I should have become a politician.......
