Does anyone know if this is true?  I was emailed this 8 minute video of an "investigative report" about a tax loophole that has allowed illegals to collect 4.2 billion dollars in tax refunds for children living in Mexico.  I would like to believe not even the IRS would be that irresponsible, but it looks pretty authentic.  Opinions?

Micaho,
This has been posted here before so it is not "new" news. All I can say is, if it is fraud, then they need to be prosecuted, and the tax preparer, if he knew he was facilitating fraud, he should be charged, too. Maybe the loophole has been closed by now.... who knows?

Apparently it is not exactly fraud because there is a loophole in the law which allows for these excessive refunds.  I guess the outrage is over how long this has been allowed to continue in spite of the IRS being told to correct it.

Thanks, Lee, it's good to know something is being done.  I am not too optimistic however that this will be resolved any time soon.  But if I made an error on my return, they'd probably be on it in 15 minutes!

The irs can't do what it's supposed to because it is busy playing politics.
(politics is probably the same reason it didn't end the tax loophole)

Anyone facing S.S. or Medicare cuts, voters and taxpayers should be furious.

Right, it wouldn't be politically correct to target hard working illegals!
