If anyone hasn't heard of these google alternatives , try these:
https://duckduckgo.com/
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Duck_Duck_Go
and/or
https://www.ixquick.com/
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ixquick
Firefox has a few more add-ons available like - "NO Google Analytics", "Google Privacy", etc....
For real privacy:
https://www.torproject.org/
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tor_Browser
Of course that is only a few ways of trying to protect privacy from google.
Or try this:
Save your google opt-out preference permanently

I wasn't so much talking about you as I made that remark.
The only thing one can do is avoid contact, but that means no more gadgets.
Or limit contact, better than nothing.
But it's already a done deal, and laws won't change much either since enforcment would be very difficult.
I just dropped my e-mail because my service provider did a deal with google.
Things have gone way beyond Orwell and people love it, so I don't see anyone doing much about any of it.
When I've had enough I guess I'll just un-plug myself.
