We're having a butterfly release tomorrow for my Moms interment, can't decide between individual release or mass release? We got butterflies from Swallowtail Farms, & tho we were planning a mass release, they're packaged so nicely, I'm thinking individual release might be better. Any thoughts?

Individual might be nice, depending on how many you have.  Or you could do groups of three or four at a time.  Nice sentiment, I'm sorry for your loss.  Hugs.

Jackie,
It won't matter to the swallowtails, only if you have some parsley growing or fennel, they might feel tempted to hang around and cocoon.... that part is cool and a rebirth, so do what feels right for you... and the spirit of your mom....Heart to your releasing!

Here is a picture of 1 of the Monarches, my brother is watching after he released it. The service was very moving, my Mom would have been very proud. jackie harris

I must send a shout out to Swallowtail Farms, they sent 4 extra butterflies, and every single butterfly flew, not 1 butterfly was damaged, they were all lively & eager to fly! Thanks to Swallowtail Farms. I would highly recommend them to anyone! jackie harris
