So, this is "freedom"? This is the good guy with a gun? This is what the NRA proclaims is the solution, and this is what the 2nd Amendment is all about. This is the most correct and best way to keep kids safe at school, because people "need", never mind have a self-appointed right, to assault rifles and high capacity magazines. These cognizant individualists are ever on guard to prevent tyranny and preserve "freedom" because well, they say they know best what freedom is. Who is free in this picture, I surely do wonder?

Name this school.

Eye roll

by joanro on 19 April 2013 - 21:04

How about 'check' into reality. :-/

by beetree on 19 April 2013 - 21:04

No answers? Hmm. Sad really. This cop sits there 24 hrs a day. This is Spring break. Funny, funny, reality. It is a heck of an eye roller.

by joanro on 19 April 2013 - 22:04

Bazaar! Or, bizarre. Take your pick. Either one fits.

by beetree on 19 April 2013 - 23:04

Why? I don't get your comment. It is very flippant and I am very serious. You don't have kids, so maybe you don't understand?

I have a son Beetree, and after attending the terrorism conferences and listening to the Lt Grossman and Mr Giduck that were at Beslan helping with the debrief after the massacre, seeing the videos that the terrorists made, listening to what was done to the victims, I wanted my son safe and if that meant having an armed officer on the premises, so be it.  Our schools are way too vulnerable and thinking that no terrorist (home grown or foriegn) would ever go after our children to prove a point is naive at best.  Do you have children??

by beetree on 19 April 2013 - 23:04

They need the cop there twenty-four hours a day because that is the only way to make sure these elementary school children will not be subjected to some kind of threat in any way shape or form. Especially from an attack on an assault rifle that whips through high capacity magazines easily managed by a mentally unstable, yet gun therapy enabled former student turned mass murderer. He didn't even need to cash the check his mom gave him to buy himself more firepower. Yeah, I know, this is a huge eye roller. How boring, should not these kids just  stay dead, and forgotten.

You don't get it. The cop is there 24 hours a day. How is that freedom? Mindhunt, you are so biased in so many ways I really don't have much to say to you. I prefer not to point out those lapses. I would not have you as a therapist for my children, I will say that.

by joanro on 20 April 2013 - 00:04

Bee, maybe you need therapy to help you cope with the reality of crazies walking among us. I'm not being flippant.
