It is misleading.  Working more efficiently and smarter, can beat out working harder, in terms of "getting ahead".

Hard workers will often have the other traits, too.

The top one percent doesn't work, they own.
Most pay little or no taxes and keep the bulk of their money out of this country.
The system is rigged just for their benifit.

While the rest of us pay for everything.

Has nothing to do with working harder.
