It's also worth mentioning at the 2012 National Trophy Rifle Matches .. all of the 1,300 competitors used semi-automatic rifles that are so called assult weapons.

The term as they would use it is any semi automatic weapon, rifle, shotgun, handgun.
An assault rifle is a machine gun and I can buy them all day long with the correct paper work and a lot of money.
These idiots are too damned stupid to realize they are not going to stop a school shooting with bullshit legislation, but rather weaken our nation as a whole.

Actually, the Federal Assault Weapons ban expired in 2004. It was never renewed. And according to the National Shooting Sports Foundation 3.3 million were sold between 2005 - 2009 after they published the expired ban in their magazine in 2005.
