REALLY??????? - Page 1

Do we have to put "idiot warnings" on EVERYTHING?? I opened a new box of trash bags this morning and printed all over them it says CAUTION: INFANTS MAY SUFFOCATE IF BAG CLINGS TO NOSE/MOUTH!  Is there really a lot of people putting their infants in a trash bag then being shocked when it's dead???? How much further down do we have to "dumb" life for these people to survive??

There are more idiots in this world than you think.And the scary thing is THEY BREED!!

I say we leave off the warning labels and let Darwin weed out the gene pool.  Call it passive eugenics.

That was exactly what my son and I said this morning Keith.  The next thing to come with a warning label will be shower heads: CAUTION: DO NOT LOOK UP AND BREATH AS IT MAY CAUSE DROWNING!  Hopefully the ppl the warnings are geared to that live where the hurricane is aren't using trash bags to water proof their babies.

it's like Spanish on all labels.....I bought a shoe rack...i found 4 pages of Spanish instructions w/ pictures on how to assemble the dumb thing and nothing in English...English instructions were on a side of the box in like .5 size print....

I am sorry but if that was the case they should have done the same thing on the other side in Spanish....pissed me off....i took the box back said I can't read this they said you can go online and print them...that did not help...so I suggested they print 4 pages of instructions in English and have a line where is says for Spanish or any other language instructions to go online....to which managers replied...most non English speakers do not own a computer....now how is that my problem???????..

Heh, occaisionally I help put the groceries away at a gas station nearby... this last week I saw instructions on a box of candy bars (how to open them). I'm like "...really?"

Over here in Belgium it does not matter what appliance you buy from a toaster to a Kettle or Fridge or Car,  Camera,
 All directions will be in Dutch, French, Spanish, Portuguese, etc, NEVER will you see the ENGLISH  version on anything you buy in Belgium.
I tell them that i know the English Language is a sub standard Language in the world, but there are a few of us who still speak that outdated Language, i get the reply from the seller, OH' English is a well known Language.
You can guess my reply to the person and i say it in my usual polite and friendly way of replying

LOL I'm sure you were very diplomatic steve   I have decided that idiots are exactly like cancer and are probably the cause of Alzhiemers.  My brain is a little twisted so bear with me will I make my point... Cancer is nothing more than an abnormal, subpar cell that ends up in the wrong part of the body and due to it's mutation reproduces much faster than the normal cell eventually incapacitating the normal cells taking over the body and killing it. Due to idiot warnings etc where we tell them everything from they shouldn't put their babies in trash bags down to how to open their food so they can eat.  We have interfered with the universe and allowed the mutated cells to reach the age apropriate to reproduce.  Everybody here knows it never fails the dumber they are the more kids they have, so they are reproducing faster than us.  Now based on the principal of osmosis molecules move from an area of higher concentration to an area of lower concentration, through a semipermiable membrane. Imagine out brain cells and IQ points are those particles..... Everytime you are around an idiot and they open their mouth, your IQ drops due to osmosis.  Eventually after yrs of this process taking place it reduces those of who are not idiots to drolling adults sitting in the corner singing our abc's and not able to remember our own name.  It used to take much longer so we only saw the results in much older adults, but thanks to the industrialization of the world we have allowed them access to transportation so not only are they reproducing faster than us they are mobile so they are metastisizing! We are now seeing many many more cases of alzhiemers.  Presenting symptoms are now being noticed at a much earlier age, because there are more of them so the rate of Osmosis is much faster.  And like a cancer that kills the body bc even though the mutant cells take over they are obviously not capable of doing the job of the normal cell, Even though our IQ is dropping they are too stupid to figure out how to use the brain cells they are acquiring so they never get any smarter!

LOL..Steve..i would like to think that the rest of the word assumes that English speakers are smarter than your average non-English speaker therefor do not need instructions and are smart enough to figure out with a deducting reasoning that kids and trash bags should not be combined....

Really Donnor?  As a Biology teacher, I hate to tell you, but are not quite "on target" with your Biology analogy.  It's diffusion, not osmosis.  Osmosis only applies to the diffusion of water across a selectively permeable membrane (http://www.biologycorner.com/bio1/diffusion.html).  And abnormal mitosis is the actual cause of cancer cells (http://www.biology.iupui.edu/biocourses/N100/2k4ch8mitosisnotes.html).
