I have a question that I hope you all can help me with. I have a young dog whelped in Europe and is now in the USA. What would be required ,in terms of paperwork,to show her in conformation events in Germany/Denmark,etc...? i.e; do I need AKC papers and/or Registration papers from the country of origin,or both? Thanks in advance for any input received!!! Cheers!

What country was the dog whelped in? Just saying Europe does not cut it. What country will the dog be shown in(Specific, not Germany/Denmark,etc)? Example: If the dog was BORN in Germany, it will be registered with the SV, and that pedigree can be used for the shows and titles. Example: If the dog was BORN in the USA, it has to be registered with the AKC and you need to get the 5 Generation Pedigree from the AKC to accompany the Registration. If the dog will title in Germany, and you are member of the SV, you would buy a scorebook and can title/show in that manner. You have to be specefic in saying what you want, there are rules to address every scenerio. You would be better off contacting Sabine Lieb at the SV in Augsburg, Germany for SPECIFIC guidance.
