I have an 18m doberman male who is beginning to fight seroiusly like he wants to kill the other dog. He has fought two dogs and had to be dragged off of them, both of these dogs were the top dog in their pack, I think he is fighting for position, but was told that this occurs frequently in dobes and you cannot change it all you can do is keep the dog away from other male dogs, any thoughts?

Well, it's a doberman. You need to challange him physically and metally in order to be happy and stay calm. I would suggest you to take him to an obedinece traning. Also you should take him to a professional so he can help you teach him to attack on command. After that you can teach the dog not to attack. Agrgression might come if you keep him closed in a cage for too long, or on a leash, if that's not the case then try what I said above. Good luck.
