This sure has taken a wrong path, but I'll give it a shot.
Hans,
the founding fathers did create something marvelous, but I sense both other motives and a great deal of luck that things turned out as good as they did.
The most important thing is they gave the people the power to enforce that idea and keep it safe with the Second Amendment.
What other government says arm yourselves and be ready if anyone tries to take your rights from you, foreign or domestic.
We have let them down and been unworthy for way too long.
And we have allowed ourselves to become irrelevant to the process.

Take our country back from the self serving lobbyists, politicians, and big corporations who have highjacked our country.

We've always had that choice.
Yes things have been taken away from us, while we looked the other way.
If it were a snake it would have bitten us.
I understand how it was done and I have no real excuse, I too am guilty.
Someday it will become unbearable and things will change, how things will change is yet to be seen.
At least for now the moment will not find us totally helpless.
