Yeah, but you hit some of those points, I reckon. LOL

I have seen real testimony from people in the system being interviewed by the media.

IRS has yet to return my call.... hmm. My CPA did. He did admit he made a mistake, and they will be owing us a refund. LOL I hope I didn't get on a blacklist for next year, or worse! He says IRS lately, is very touchy due to security reasons and won't talk to any one who isn't the filer, without all kinds of hoop jumping verification. The problem they just don't appreciate is, if they insist on only talking to my son, it wouldn't take long to realize how worthless and frustrating that is for everyone. Did I mention... he's a TEENAGER? I'm going to sit tight and hope my CPA faxing them stuff will make everyone happy. (Moons, the kid has unearned income he isn't even aware of. LOL)
Maybe I'll let him buy fireworks with "his" refund check? Even though I am the one who paid it? LOL

Your fireworks LOL is lame.
Yeah we have a monster in the IRS that's a fact.
I've gone through similar problems with information sharing.

Why? His birthday is around the 4th of July, they have a blast with fireworks and the pool on a hot summers night. Your are just mean.

by Two Moons on 21 May 2013 - 14:05
No,
not mean.
Perhaps I misunderstood your motives but that's understandable considering.
Personally if I had a tax preparer I would expect them to make things right with the IRS.

I thought there were laws in place to Minors signing and parents being responsible for minors in any business..HE must be making BIG bucks to have to pay any income TAX.....EXCEMPTIONS
FOR minors I thought would be in place.unless he is living on his own> confused for sure...
Kids do not pay income tax do they? IRS may start charging FIDO next.
lol

If moneys involved they want it.

YR: My kids both live at home!
We rarely make them pay for anything, either.
They can owe taxes if their parents claim their exemption on the parents' return, and certain investment incomes reach certain thresholds. And then one time events like inheritance can create a tax liability for a minor. And nobody is collecting and sending tax bills but the liability is legally all ours. So, I thought I avoided all this by hiring a tax accountant. I have not paid his bill yet, which, because of certain one time events must have created more work because I was charged almost double from last year!
The CPA still wants his bill paid and it is kind of funny, the IRS wants to give money back. And we aren't talking about a whole lot of $$$, here, that is the other thing. Not enough to get hot and bothered about! It is a wonder.
If Fido
gets a TIN number, and earns enough, I'm sure he's owing his share. Probably, would be a good
to set him up as an LLC.
Still no call from IRS! I don't think they are going to call..... harumphhh. Maybe I should be glad instead,
