There are no rules, but you obviously have no clue what you are talking about and are just repeating things like a parrot.

Why would any one care if their gun and ammo purchases are recorded if they are law abiding, considerate citizens? It is that paranoia that someone is going to come and steal them from you in the thick of the night? Yes, that is what I think about all the anti-government ranters.

The government has demanded firearms be surrendered in recent years, this is not a what if scenario. Thankfully the Canadian long gun registry was abolished last year, but restricted firearms are still registered. Currently we have a gun friendly government, but that could change in the future if a different party is elected.

It took the police 5 minutes to arrive on scene, you are being very presumptuous with this assessment.

It is against the law to track or register and the ATF has laws in place now that prevents this from happening.
The government has no rights or business knowing what you own.
