TWC, I guess a moderator fixed it! Yes, thank you, that was the one I was thinking of. And the shepherd is a woman, and this took place in Germany.

My dad grew up on the farm, and when they had an orphaned lamb, he and his brothers thought it was fun to get down on the floor and butt heads with it.

It wasn't so funny when the lamb reached his full growth! After he knocked one too many people flying, my dad sold him and used the money to help buy his first car!

As for the other video, I often have trouble getting them to embed, too, and I've been around the net a long, long time, so don't feel bad!

Yup, typiclal border pup - instincts are bred in the bone!! :D  My aunt adopted one that was too nervous for herding competitions, and before the dog was a year old, they were having to spell the word 'cow' or she'd be off to the pasture to round them up, even if it wasn't milking time!

I grew up in a part of the U.S. where there were no sheep at all. only pigs, cows and horses. I had no idea they could be that dangerous.

that lady is lucky if she survived that.

2 things I would do immediately if I did survive that

1. next week someone would be having fresh lamb chops
2. I would get a new dog

Goats can be very nasty creatures too.

Thank you to the Mod's that embedded that last two videos. Folks, I swear I really did do the first one myself. Honest.

TWC when you copy and paste make sure that the paste is clear to the left of the box.  Sometimes is will leave a space that you don't see.

The dogs that are with the shepherd in that vid appear to be 'flock guardian' types, not 'shepherd' types. If so, that would explain them going after the intruder (car) and not 'herding' the sheep or protecting the shepherd.

by ThatWasClose on 17 October 2020 - 01:10

Agreed, the one is def a flock guardian type; though the black & white one is sure a mix.

Just curious, how does one know this actually occurred in Germany, as the shepherds attire screams Caucus mountain country.

TWC, because one of the articles I saw about it said so. It was also posted by various news outlets as well as on YouTube.

Ah but they have the paws of the Daily Mail all over those articles - so I for one wouldn't credit them with any accuracy.

by ThatWasClose on 17 October 2020 - 15:10

Yep, the Daily Mail is an interesting site indeed. Probably the worlds most notorious drop box.

My guess is article said Germany, as it is German language one hears inside the car. That does not mean it is Germany. I've spent major time abroad. It was usually English inside the vehicle, though it sure did not mean we were in America.

I am telling ya'll, the attire from head to toe screams some former Soviet satellite state.

Whatever, that was one nasty attack & I do hope the person came out okay.
