Hired dog, I'll play along. Here's a zps dog. Why I believe he is a " man stopper". Because he could run a decoy down and slam him to the ground using his muscle and bite force which was crushing. Okay doky?

Also, the dog in the video on page 6, apprehending a guy from the car is a " man stopper". Any more questions, hired dog?

Hired Dog

Since you asked so politely, yes, does the assholitis come free with the answer or is it extra? I asked a simple question and you decided to post sarcastic remarks...I was not interested in playing a game.
Now, if you could, post a pic of something that is not obscured behind a tree or a car window so that we can see the dog in all its true glory.

"wondering why german shepherd dog should care about rabbit or any kind of wildlife creatures at all."

Sorry but in my opinion a dog that has no desire to chase/kill wildlife is an abomination of nature and has lost one of the most important survival instincts. Not advocating prey crazy dogs but a good balance of drives would be nice.  A clear headed dog with good prey drive can easily be a herding dog.  The one thing I love most about the dog I have now, everything I've tried with her she's been capable of doing and enjoys it, IPO, detetection, herding, upland bird hunting, squirrel hunting.  I thought GSD was supposed to be versatile, not meant for only one particular job?

Astrovan, sounds like my kind of dog.

Years ago, I had a gsd that loved to go squirrel hunting with me. Soon as I picked up the 22 he would get all excited in anticipation.
He could spot a squirrel in the top the the big oaks and follow, giving me a chance to shoot. Then he would retrieve the dropped squirrel and retieve it to my hand, without fail!

Dog was hanging from the decoys arm, after jumping up and catching what was presented.
A great dog if ever there was one, imported from Czech republic years ago.

Here is a littermate to "that sable bitch" as a two year old. Very different, but more typical of the rest of the bitches in the litter.
