i guess the simplest solution would be to implement ads section with mandatory to fill up fields, which impossible to skip, before ad will be published. sort of like one, used at kijiji.

Thanks Admins...

I think if some sort of "Template" would be available that the "Ad Writer" would then know what should be included if they want their Ad to be Seen...Read...and Hopefully find interested Buyers...

It would be interesting to see what some people who Enter Ads have to say about this...

By the way I'm one that thinks that the Price of the dog doesn't always have to be included in the ad...Sometimes this is a very private thing...
I personally think I'd include the Price of Puppies...But when it comes to Adult Dogs it can be more of a personal thing...But I'd be interested to hear what others have to say about it...

- DOB/age
- Sex
- color
- Parents and registration numbers of parents, whatever country
- Any official health certs (in case of a puppy health certs of parents like HD/ED)
- Titles ( in case of a puppy titles of parents )
- Worked as ( real jobs)...
- Working titles or real jobs of parents
- Show results / parents
- Breed survey / parents
- in case of brood bitches - how many litters
- in case of studs - any progeny

In case of foreign bred dogs:

- country of origin/reg club of origin
- able to AKC register/already registered?
- able to participate on SV events?
- DNAed ?

Price/shipping/no shipping

There should be a frame for each of these questions, the seller able to either answer them or leave them blank...

But I suggested all of this a couple of years ago already, nothing happened.

I too have wondered about some ads.

They are so sparsely worded, and read like an old fashioned telegraph, where each word costs money.

The words are free folks! Are you trying to sell a dog or not?

About price...if one doesnt want to expose a direct price publicly...maybe do like restaurants...use the 3 $ signs.

Like: $ (low), $$ (medium-average), or $$$ for the higher price points. ๐Ÿ˜‰

i don't see any sense to offer anything for sale without stating asking price.
that's a main purpose of sale - to receive certain amount of money in exchange for something, be it goods or service.
when you see offer without asked price, first think do come to mind - sly seller looking for chance to screw a stupid buyer.

No, not in case of dogs...

Be it because of taxes ๐Ÿ˜Ž , be it because the seller only wants to deal with people which don't care( or which do know )...
And sometimes, although not that often, the seller just wants to find the best place for a dog, no matter the money.
Any seller which doesn't name $ will be willing to answer and explain ...

LOL, certainly taxes are one good reason.

When selling a dog without a price mentioned, or a price category...the first question you are going to get from a bunch newbies looking, is...how much.

If you add the price or price category, that will already eliminate almost all of those.
