VK, back off and don't ruin another thread with your rudeness. Last warning or you can have more time out but longer this time.

Chaz, same applies to you.

But I'm still trying to figure out how a black & tan dog with a mastiff type head, prick ears, slim body, lots of hair and a ski-slope back would look like.

Can anyone provide a morphed image, please?

Just take a look at some Chinese GSD websites (sorry, Swarn, I'd give you links but cannot remember where we looked when discussing the thred on the Chinese & mastiff heads, a couple of years ago - suggest you Search back for that topic with PDB, and/or Google some GSDs in China sites). The mainstream Chinese Show people were still buying and exhibiting 'ordinary', Germanic/international type GSDs; but there's a sizeable following for a parallel 'fancy' which seeks out or breeds basically 'normal' Black & Red dogs (some, of course, with structural etc faults !) with extra large, meaty heads. There were a few such sites; all in Chinese text and audio, but with lots of pictures and videos that are the same in any language.

Smiley, this is a really nice dog. He has drive, and a fantastic, outgoing personality. I've met him in person, got a kick out of watching him title and he wins everyone over off the field because he's hilarious. I don't know that this picture does him justice but in person there is nothing overdone about him. Not sure if he'd be what you're looking for but I really liked him and I'm a WL person.

@Hundmutter.

Looks like ears won't stand on their own.

Well done in finding them, Reliya - TY ! Guess you are right about those ears ! @ Swarnendo, answer your query ? No need for a morph - quite hideously funny enough in reality !

Wow there is a major abuse if the breed. Fu##ind disgrace ears would be the least of my worries

They shouldn´t be allowed to call those dogs "German Shepherd Dogs" - those dogs don´t fit the standard
= not breed worthy.

But it´s like always: no rules = no restrictions = everybody is able to "interpret" his own vision of the breed.

It´s a nightmare ( no matter if it´s about conformation, if it´s about temperament, or if it´s about both ).

Clee....thank you! He's a good looking guy but not quite what I am looking for....I, would take the dog I posted originally as he is very close to my ideal (assuming health, temperament, working/performance ability). He is what I am looking for and a dog that I think could fit easily into all three worlds of show, work, and performance. He is balanced and moderate and up on his hocks. I just LOVE the dog I posted but it's my luck he is in germany and aged. I think I would have been able too produce exactly what I was hoping for if I could have bred my bitch to that stud. I always try to find dogs that fit the standard as I see it (harder than you would imagine as there are so many different interpretations...but I look for a balanced, moderate dog that is NOT extreme in any one feature).

The dogs I like would not do well today in any ring (except UKC) as they would not be extreme enough in angulation, movement, or drive to please the current trend. I always stump a lot of people who look at my my own bitch as they have a hard time figuring out the bloodlines! I like that because both American and German followers aren't sure what she is as she is beautiful with a lot of type, really pretty head, beautiful angulation and if it weren't for her coat (nice but not GSL quality) and lack of speciality type movement (again nice but not ASL specialty quality) she would be hard to place! But, she is all german working line!

In regards to earlier comments, all breeding is a "lab experiment". Nothing changes without taking risks. And that's spoken as someone who hates change :p
