Mountain Lion

Yesterday!

Up at 6 AM, go to work for a few hours, run an errand, one of the guys says your daughter called. On the shop line I asked? I wonder why she didn't call on my cellphone. So I look for my cellphone to call her back, no cell phone.

I get home, can't find cellphone, daughter informs me she broke cable TV wire in her room moving a few things around. I only have a half hour before I have to leave to visit the wife. I check her wire, it can't be fixed. I tell her I'll go get a new wire, I go out to my SUV and there is my cellphone laying in the snow, in the driveway. I'm thrilled, I get the wire, come home install it, her TV is fixed.

Now I check out my cellphone, it's been run over, dead, departed, useless. I go visit the wife in the middle of a snow storm. I'm thinking she has a cellphone in her room and can't use it. I'll take that until I get a new one next week. I locate her cellphone, the cord is missing so I can't charge it. They moved her into a private room about a month ago, I have an aid check her old room etc., no cord. It's 11:30 AM I leave at 5:30 PM, the roads are terrible, there is a Verizon store a mile away open until 9 PM. But they are closed because of the snow. So I head home.

I haven't eaten anything all day, I go back to work, grab the plow truck and plow the front of the business, head home and plow my driveway and a few of the neighbors. I'm eating supper at 8:30 PM.

I'm out the door at 7 AM this morning, the plow truck is here so I finish re-plowing around the house and I shovel. Back to work to re-plow the front and plow the back parking area.

I got to leave in about 40 minutes to go visit the wife, every day feels like groundhog day lately.

Hope everyone else is having a great weekend. LOL

PS the daughter gave me her cellphone and said keep it till you get a new one.

That was very nice of your daughter. I feel for you! Hope things become more smooth and the snow let's up for you. You have more important things to do than plow and shovel. And for future reference, most gas stations and CVS/walgreens sell phone chargers.

ML Sounds like you had a tough day alright! Almost like one of my recurring nightmares that I had the other day. In the dream I keep losing things, or dropping them and if I do get them back they are broken or don't work!

I am usually so glad to wake up and relieved that none of it actually happened!

Hope you have a much better day today! And a hot delicious dinner!

Probably got five inches or so of snow here. Made the kids French toast and bacon when they finally got up. We had a sleepover guest so I had to make them shut their games down close to 3 am and go to bed.. If the younger kid gets his homework done we might get around to using the new pasta machine he got for Christmas! Looking to learn a new cooking skill!

Temps are going to be heading towards zero! Yikes!

Well I went to the Verizon store this morning and got a new phone, two car charger setups, a portable battery supply for charging, back cover, screen protector etc. I said to the girl, double the order and I'll give my daughter a new phone also. Otherwise she just going to bust my stones about having a better phone than she has. They also gave me a free Samsung tablet. I got insurance so if they break, are dropped, get wet, new phone no charge. They gave me $296.00 off. I paid less than $100.00 for the whole load. So today was a better day, thank God! Oh, it was -4 on the way to work this morning. Stay warm!

Great deal on the phones, etc. Anyone with kids knows the insurance is a must have! One of the few insurance buys I will always buy without complaining. That is actually why I have two iPads. I dropped and cracked my iPad mini and went to buy the newer model. I didn't remember buying the insurance originally but their computer said I had, so I also got it replaced for $49 bucks. Now, I can't live without two Mini's, my desktop and an iPhone! I might be a device hoarder in the making!

My oldest son always manages to have a newer model iPhone than I do, lol! I get that you needed to upgrade your daughter's phone, too! Lol

Still cold, about 11*. And tomorrow is going to be in the 50's! That is nuts!

It's warming up Bee.

Funny how the kids always end up with what they want. We must be "pushovers". LOL

Time to head for my second job, aka visit the wife.
