Xeph

I have pictures of her in suspension as a little :D. It's always been easy to catch her.

We have a show this weekend. Hopefully I'll bring home a major or two!

These puppies, with the exception for their instinct for working stock, are very late bloomers in the drive department.  I tried doing a lot with them when they were younger, but they weren't particularly interested in toys, tugs, or food.  They're all good eaters (nobody turns down a meal, regardless fo where we are or what is fed), but working for food was "meh".  At 19 months, Mikasa started chasing the frisbee.  She started actually retrieving the frisbee about two weeks in (and I tried to get her after it for months prior to that).  She's now 20 months old and not only retrieves the frisbee, but is fairly possessive of it.

She will not tug, but is not averse to working for this particular toy at this point.  She enjoys carrying around Hoky the stuffed Hedgehog now.

Her mother is the same way.  Very late bloomer.  Now plays with a couple of toys, mostly only wants the frisbee.  Does not have the same drive for possession as her daughter.  She HAS started doing backflips to work for food, however, when before it was just "meh".

Very nice, Xeph!

And I echo what Tig said about the moment of suspension. Nice to see that!

I knew Banker was back in the ancestry somewhere when I saw the white patch on the chest...interesting how a distinctive feature like that stays in the bloodline!

Ha! So cool! I am so proud to have bred this bitch <3. Sent off entries for a herding trial for her a couple days ago.

Nice dog regardless of labels .. too much pounding a square plug into a round hole in the dog world. Celebrate the individuality of the dog's tool box in spirit and physical traits.

"Celebrate the individuality of the dog's tool box in spirit and physical traits."
As long as I am an owner "only", that´s absolutely right, but as soon as I am a breeder, that´s not enough.

( Not about anybody in special, just a universal statement )

Meepers took a major reserve yesterday! Her brother, Moto, was WD/BOW for his second major! Their mother was BOB!

Whoop-whoop!!! Congratulations, Xeph...not too shabby for your first homebred litter, these pups! And Mama Wesson back in the show ring as well, and pulling the BOB--sounds like the Marcato crew is having a very good weekend indeed!
